ECO 111 - Economic Development in Sub-Saharan AfricaSemester Hours: 3 Periodically
Development theories, practices and results evident in the region’s primary industries
such as agriculture, pastoral farming, mining and manufacturing from the colonial
period to the present. Precolonial socioeconomic formations in each country within
the region are examined as background to transformations fostered by colonialism.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: One introductory course in economics. Same as AFST 111.
