MSPE 256 - Historical and Sociocultural Perspectives in Physical Activity and SportSemester Hours: 3 This course uses historical and sociocultural perspectives to examine ways that one’s heritage, culture, and socioeconomic level influence individual and group participation in physical activity and sport. Individuals examine local and global agencies that support physical education by advocating for physical activity.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: This course requires 25 hours of field observation in a high-needs district, grades 7-12.
