PSC 192 - Field Study at the United NationsSemester Hours: 3 This course allows students to take advantage of the opportunity offered by Hofstra’s proximity to the United Nations. We spend the January session on-site at the United Nations. and nearby embassies, participating in briefings offered by U.N. agency staff and representatives of such key U.N. participants as Britain, Russia, Cuba, Israel, Iraq, Mexico, and others. Students have unique, small-group access to the diplomats and staff who work on some of the most important political, economic and environmental issues of our time.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: This course will hold its initial meeting on January 4, 2010, at 11:30 a.m., in 103 Brower Hall. All other meetings will be held in Manhattan, at or near the United Nations complex. Students are responsible for their own transportation.
