FIN 203 - Managerial FinanceSemester Hours: 3 This is an introduction to finance and financial management and study of theoretical principles and analytical techniques used for corporate decision making, including capital budgeting, capital structure, and dividend policy decisions. Topics include time value of money, security valuation, risk and return, financial statement analysis, and financial markets and instruments. This is a overview of the impact of global, ethical, social, and political issues on financial management, and consideration of other perspectives, such as satisfying diverse groups of stakeholders and environmental concerns.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: ACCT 203 or approved equivalent. Corequisite: QM 203 . Credit given for this course or FIN 202, not both. Open only to matriculated graduate students in the Zarb School of Business and in other Schools at Hofstra where appropriate. See specific program requirements.
