GS 1 - (IS) Introduction to Global StudiesSemester Hours: 3 This is an interdisciplinary course that introduces students to different perspectives on global studies and exposes them to critical global economic and cultural issues and challenges. This course also examines globalization at a variety of different scales of analysis, ranging from global, to regional and national, to individual. The ultimate goal is to provide students with an understanding of the main conceptual approaches to global studies and thus enhance their ability to understand and evaluate important real-world issues and problems.
