HED 216 - AIDS EducationSemester Hours: 1 This is an overview of the etiology of HIV/AIDS causes, treatment options, prevention, and related social, psychological, cultural and political implications. The developmental issues that influence age-appropriate curricula selection and techniques for teaching in the classroom are discussed. Planning community, peer and parental educational programs and the use of resources and referrals are explored.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Credit given for this course or MHAE 275, not both. Pass/Fail grade only.
