HIST 108 - (HP) Renaissance Europe, From St. Louis to Luther

Semester Hours: 3
This cource concerns the emergence of a society in which leadership was shifted from clergy to laymen in economy, government, religion, literature and art. Stress is laid on the impact of the Black Death, the rise of religious dissent, the Hundred Years War, the rise of parliamentary institutions, and the city states of Renaissance Italy. The evidence of visual arts is drawn on throughout.
