JRNL 11 - News Writing and ReportingSemester Hours: 3 This course concerned defining news and its importance in a democratic society; structure of news-gathering process; the elements of news; introduction to basic news reporting and writing for print and broadcast; use of the Internet as a reporting and research tool; and accuracy and fairness as journalistic imperatives. Outside community research and reporting time is required.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: WSC 1 and 2 , or permission of the instructor. Corequisite: JRNL 10. Lab fees additional.
