LEGL 23 - Contract LawSemester Hours: 3 This is a study of the fundamental elements of contracts as defined by the common law, the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG); contracts and commercial transactions in contemporary business situations, including e- commerce; the relationship between contract law and the general legal environment, particularly ethical and international considerations; and fundamentals of contract negotiations, drafting, damages, and dispute resolution. Actual contracts and cases are studied.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: LEGL 20 ; sophomore class standing or above required – students with fewer than 24 s.h. on record may not register for this course; no exceptions permitted. (Formerly BLAW 23.)
