RLLT 102 - (LT) Postmodern Fiction in Romance Languages

Semester Hours: 3
This is the study of cultural and literary trends as they appear in French, Italian, and Spanish works of fiction written after 1980. Special attention will be paid to identity construction (regional/national/European/global), the relationship between genders and the representation of the masculine and the feminine, and the redefinition of the role of literature and fiction in the postmodern era. All works are read in English translation.
