SPED 277 - Technology and Assistive Technology in Special EducationSemester Hours: 3 This course establishes a universal design for learning framework for using low- and high-tech products to support students with special needs in the classroom. Participants gain an overview and hands-on experience with local facilities. Emphasis will be on planning instruction using assistive technology, online instructional curricular, and traditional/non-traditional Web resources.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Students will be required to complete 10 hours of classroom observation and participation in a local facility where assistive technology is prominently used by students with disabilities. There is a materials fee of $25.
