ANTH 143 - (BH) Introduction to Forensic AnthropologySemester Hours: 3 This is an introduction to the theory and methods used by forensic anthropologists to extract the maximum amount of information from ancient burials, historical murders and recent accidents. In addition to illustrating and reconstructing skeletal remains and artifacts, forensic anthropologists examine skeletal remains, environmental evidence for location and time of death, trace evidence, and wear-patterns. Classes will emphasize archaeological methods and ethical issues associated with the examination of human remains and will include case studies and practical activities.
