GEOL 280 A-Z - Regional Geology for Teachers and TravelersSemester Hours: 1-4 Intended for elementary and secondary school teachers who wish to expand their knowledge of field geology and its underlying concepts and explore in detail the geology of a particular geographic region. Courses may include some classroom time, but are primarily field trip experience designed to examine the geomorphic features and rock formations of a region and to interpret the geological processes that have operated through time.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Permission of the instructor. As individual regions are selected, each is assigned a letter (A-Z) and added to the course number. This course may be taken a number of times so long as there is a different letter designation each time it is taken. (Formerly Workshop: Regional Geology for Teachers and Travelers.) Course is cross-listed with BIO 110A .
