FA 170J - Alternative Photographic ProcessesSemester Hours: 3 Spring
This is a hands-on course exploring a variety of alternative photographic processes. Students work with hand-applied emulsions on art paper using silver, platinum/palladium and cyanotype. Other methods may include ortho film, collage, toning with tea, sepia or selenium. Aesthetic and visual sensitivity, individual creativity and experimentation are encouraged along with the development of photographic skills and techniques. There is emphasis on experimentation and individual expression. Museum/gallery visit.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: FA 170 or permission of instructor. (Formerly 171.)
