IRE 164 - James JoyceSemester Hours: 3 Periodically
The major works of James Joyce: Dubliners, A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, and Ulysses, along with a brief introduction to Finnegans Wake. These works will be studied as landmarks of modernism in their cultural and biographical contexts, with some attention to bibliographic issues relative to the text of Ulysses as well as its publishing history.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: WSC 1 and 2. Same as ENGL 164.
