Students are assigned to an outpatient department and participate in activities related to health care maintenance and restoration. They are placed at a location which provides integrated health care provided by clinicians who are responsible for most of a patients personal health needs and who work in a sustained partnership with their patients. The primary health care provider assumes ongoing responsibility for health maintenance and therapy for illness, including consultation with specialists.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Open only to students enrolled in the professional phase of the Physician Assistant Program. No liberal arts credit.
