Study of the methods, assumptions and limits of natural science with illustrations from the history of science. Topics include explanation, laws, prediction, confirmation, theories, the status of theoretical entitles, theoretical reduction, concept formation and the problem of demarcation.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: At least one course in philosophy or a natural science is recommended.
