RTVF 118 - Advanced Screenwriting ISemester Hours: 3 Fall
This course will focus on the process of writing a feature-lenght screenplay. Students will learn how to develop ideas, pitch them effectively, and use the elements of premise, character, and plot structure to tell their stories. Students will develop their concepts, write both long and short treatments, create a detailed scene outline, and complete the first act (about 30 pages) of their original feature-length idea. Upon successful completion of the course, students may register for RTVF 119 and complete their full-length screenplay.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: RTVF 110 , or permission of the department. May not be taken on a Pass/D+/D/Fail basis. (Formerly Screenwriting 1.)
