LAW 2790 - Banking Law This course examines the basic structure of bank regulation under federal law and the differences among banking institutions. Particular attention is paid to the powers of national banks and bank holding companies and the limitations upon their operations, and the effects of the 1999 legislation modernizing the financial services industry.
When the course is taught as a seminar a paper is required on a topic selected by the student and approved by the instructor.
