NCS 164 - (BH) Contemporary European PoliticsSemester Hours: 4 Spring
This course examines contemporary European history and politics since World War II, highlighting the evolving integration and expansion of the European Union. We evaluate the history of the landmark steps taken toward European integration, including an analysis of the foundational thinkers, organizations, and treaties that influenced this process. This course is part of the European Odyssey Program; an assessment of the major European Union institutions is deepened by site visits to the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France; the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg; and the European Commission in Brussels, Belgium.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Permission of instructor. May not be taken on a Pass/D+/D/Fail basis.
