ASTR 280A - Fundamentals of Astronomy for TeachersSemester Hours: 3 This course will develop the fundamentals of astronomy, including apparent motion of the sky, the Copernican revolution, the structure and formation of the solar system,and an introduction to stars and galaxies and the structure of the universe. The course will include observation sessions and an introduction to the use of small telescopes. Student projects will be aimed at topics relevant to K-12 teaching.
