CSC 285 - Mobile Information Device ProgrammingSemester Hours: 3 This course covers the development of applications for network-enabled mobile devices. Topics include: cell phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and other small computational devices, their strengths & limitations; configurations & profiles; overview of programming mobile devices; standard & custom user interface elements & events; networking; record stores & persistence; text & multimedia messaging; drawing & animation using game application program interfaces (APIs) & 3D APIs; audio & video APIs; comparison of current technologies.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Course open to graduate students in CSC; others need permission of CSC graduate director. May not be taken on a P/F basis.
