HIST 253 - Readings in European History Semester Hours: 3 Fall, Spring
Designed to permit students to pursue an individualized plan of reading in subject
areas of interest under the guidance of a member of the history faculty. Students
prepare a list of suitable readings in consultation with their tutor with whom
they will confer periodically about the progress of their work.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Limited to those who have attended at least one semester as a matriculated student
in the M.A. program in history and have been accepted for a reading course by
a member of the department before registration. Students are normally expected
to use sources in the language of the area which they are studying.
