SED 235 - Curriculum and Instruction in Science Semester Hours: 3 Spring
This course examines science curricula (grades 7-12) and strategies for promoting
conceptual development, inquiry learning, technology, and social justice for all
students. Exploration of the complex nature of the physical and natural worlds,
applications of technology, learning standards, and the development of literacy
skills specific to the science curriculum are considered. Thematic, interdisciplinary,
inquiry-based activities and projects serve to link teaching practice with the
New York State Learning Standards for Mathematics, Science, and Technology.
