SPCH 244 - Cleft Palate and Cranio-Facial Disorders Semester Hours: 3 Summer
The incidence, etiology, symptomatology of the various types of cleft lip and
palate and cranio-facial disorders. A comprehensive view of children and adults
with cleft palate, concomitant component, and manifestations of cranio-facial
disorders including genetic, cultural and environmental factors. Presentation
of the team approach to habilitation, with consideration of the significance and
roles of participating members. Statement and study of the accompanying speech
syndromes and the major methods of speech habilitation.
