MGT 228 - Management of Innovation for Sustainability Semester Hours: 3 Periodically
This course presents theory and practice on the management of innovation for sustainability. It includes basic principles, theories and perspectives on the management of innovation, on the creative process and its interface with the organization, and on the managerial aspects of design. These are framed within the context of an ethical imperative of ecological and economic sustainability in all aspects of the organization, including product and/or service development, production and delivery. Current and desirable future practices, major theories, trends and research finding related to innovation, creativity and design for sustainability will be explored.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: MGT 207 . Open only to matriculated graduate students in the Zarb School of Business and in other Schools at Hofstra where appropriate. See specific program requirements.
