Semester Hours:3This course provides an introduction to descriptive and analytic epidemiology. The focus is on understanding sources and uses of epidemiologic data, calculating and applying measures of morbidity and mortality to describing and analyzing the health status of populations, epidemiologic study designs, bias and confounding, and making causal inferences using epidemiologic data.
