CLL 151 - (LT) Studies in Literature: Marxist Literary Theory & PracticeSemester Hours: 3 This course examines the nature of the relationship between art and politics, specifically literary art. We will read texts that aim to make such connections explicit. Some knowledge of 20th-century history is necessary and background lectures will provide that. Some of the writers we will read are: Walter Benjamin, Anna Seghers, Charles Bukowski, Jean-Paul Sartre and Terry Eagleton.
Prerequisite(s) & Course Notes: May be repeated when topics vary.
