HED 221 - Health and the Elementary Child/Implementing Health Curricula (K-5)Semester Hours: 3 The focus in this course is on the instruction of health education in grades K-5. Developmentally appropriate health information, instructional strategies and curriculum planning with emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches are discussed. The school environment and school health services for this population are included.
Prerequisite(s) & Course Notes: Ten hours of field experience required in grades K-5. Pass/Fail grade only. (Formerly MHAE 268, Health and the Elementary School Child.)
