CSC 58 - Fundamentals of JavaScript Programming


JavaScript is a powerful programming tool that facilitates the use of multimedia-graphics, animation, and sound-in Web page design. This course familiarizes students with the essential concepts of Web programming using the JavaScript language. Cover basic systems concepts, including network protocols and software. Coverage of JavaScript syntax, including fundamental language components, object-oriented programming concepts, event handlers, frames, images, HTML, control structures, and relevant data structures. Hands-on exposure to the JavaScript developer environment. Course requirements include completion of homework exercises and several laboratory programming projects.

Prerequisites & Notes
CSC 50, 54. May not be taken on a Pass/D+/D/Fail basis.
