GEOL 11 - Physical Geology Periodically
Origin, evolution and geologic cycles of minerals and rocks. Concerns the processes
and features on the surface of the earth and how they have been modified by water,
ice, wind and man. Deals with geologic principles applied to problems of energy
and economic resources, natural hazards (earthquake, beach erosion, floods, etc.),
urban expansion and environmental effects from pollution. Field trips strongly
recommended. (3 hours lecture.)
Prerequisites & Notes Credit given for this course or GEOL 1 or New College NGG 3.
