BIO 23 - Developmental Biology Spring
A study of the morphological events that occur during embryogenesis combined
with an investigation of the cellular and molecular mechanisms that underlie these
events. Surveys the development of a number of animals that have become standard
models for studies in developmental biology. Laboratory work includes preparation
and investigation of timed embryos, chemical and microsurgical manipulation of
embryos, use of molecular markers, tissue culture techniques. (3 hours lecture,
3 hours laboratory.)
Prerequisites & Notes BIO 135 and 137.
Credits: 4 s.h.
