LAW 2966 - Advanced Immigration Law and Citizenship This course examines various aspects of the law of citizenship that were not fully explored in the general immigration and citizenship law course. Topics will vary but may include different ways of acquiring and losing citizenship, the differences in rights and privileges of citizens and non-citizens, proposed constitutional amendments to birthright citizenship, and the meaning of formal and substantive citizenship in places regarded as “outside” of U.S. borders and jurisdictions.
