DNCE 128: History of Dance II Semester Hours: 3 A survey of the historical development of theatrical dancing from the Renaissance to current art forms of ballet and modern dance. Dance majors will conduct a research project on a prominent choreographer of their choice and will share their findings through an oral presentation that includes visual, auditory or technological aids. Aesthetics and philosophy of dance with particular reference to drama, opera, ballet and modern dance.
