LAW 2987 - Transnational Crimes and Comparative Extradition The Transnational Crimes and Comparative Extradition course will explore criminal law enforcement by the United States of crimes committed outside the nation’s territorial jurisdiction. Topics to be discussed include Congressional power under the Constitution and International Law to criminalize extraterritorial conduct with special attention to federal prosecution of airplane hijackings, terrorist bombings, drugs, child sexual abuse, and money laundering. The course will also discuss and compare the law of extradition in the United States and other countries.
