ENGG 027 - Engineering Materials

Semester Hours: 3
Fall
Atomic structure and its relationship to properties of engineering materials. Mechanical, metallurgical, thermal, optical, chemical, electrochemical, radioactive, electrical and magnetic properties. Failure analysis, material selection and design. Ferrous and nonferrous metals, nonmetallic and anisotropic materials, polymers and ceramics.
