MATH 287 - Problem Solving Through Computers and Calculators


Semester Hours: 3
Periodically
Problem-solving heuristics, estimation, discovery and pattern recognition via programming languages, spreadsheets, interactive software and hand-held calculators. Applications to the classroom.

Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes:
For participants in a Hofstra teacher-enhancement program or by permission of department. This course carries no credit toward M.A. in Mathematics  or M.S. in Applied Mathematics .
