BCHM 162 - Foundations of Biochemistry

Semester Hours: 3
Fall, Spring
Structure and function of proteins, lipids and nucleic acids; enzyme action, allostery, energetics, kinetics, reaction mechanisms; membrane structure and function; DNA replication, transcription, translation; biotechnology. (3 hours lecture.)

Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes:
CHEM 135 . Credit given for this course or BIO 162 , not both. (Formerly Molecular Biochemistry I.)
