OTH 202 - Occupation and Adaptation


Semester Hours: 3
Fall
This course describes the dynamics of occupation from the perspective of the person and environment, using the Person-Environment-Occupation (PEO) model and other theoretical frameworks. Students will develop skills for activity gradation, completion of a task analysis, and understanding of the teaching-learning process as background for developing an occupational therapy intervention plan. Laboratory sessions will demonstrate therapeutic use of self, and the selection of therapeutic media to formulate intervention plans.

Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes:
Matriculation in the Occupational Therapy Program  and completion of HPR 130 - Orientation to Occupational Therapy: The Profession and Practice .
