OTH 209 - Outcome Measurements: Environmental and Programmatic Assessment Semester Hours: 3 Spring
This course will provide students with the skills required to complete an occupational therapy needs assessment. The needs assessment involves an environmental scan that includes research on resources, the population, the socio-political context, and service delivery systems. The appropriate use of standardized tests and scoring will be discussed. Students will learn to systematically utilize data to evaluate and modify practice outcomes. Practice in various health care contexts will be discussed with respect to policies, the impact on practice, reimbursement, and the delivery of care.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: OTH 200 , 201 , 202 , 203 , 204 , and 205 .
