NUR 262 - Advanced Adult-Gerontology in Acute Care II
Semester Hours: 5
This is the second of four clinical courses which focuses on complex symptom management related to acute and emergent physiological alterations in endocrine, gastrointestinal, reproductive, and genital urinary function, along with multisystem disorders. Health promotion, health maintenance and health restoration are emphasized, along with risk assessment and preventative strategies. The pharmacological management of complex symptomatology is systematically integrated into the course. Learning in this course is a collaborative process in a interprofessional learning environment providing quality, holistic, scientifically sound, and patient-centered care.
