IB 161 - Asian BusinessSemester Hours: 3 Every Other Year
Topics include regional environmental developments and country-specific ways of doing business in Asia. Specifically, the course addresses cultural, economic, political, technological, legal, and competitive environments that affect doing business in Asia; religion, philosophy, history, national and business culture that shape the minds of business people in Asia; the comparative analysis of the East and the West. The course also addresses country-specific ways of doing business in the areas of marketing, human resources, finance, and accounting; business system, governance, social responsibility, sustainability; import/export, foreign direct investment, and regional integration.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Notes: Junior class standing and IB 150 .
