LAW 3788 - Transactional Lawyering: Translating Deals into Contracts Transactional lawyers, sometimes also called deals lawyers, transform agreements made by clients into enforceable contracts. About half the work lawyers do is transactional (as opposed to litigation). This course teaches the skills at the core of transactional work: contract drafting, negotiation and providing legal and business advice. Students learn how to think like transactional lawyers, how deals work, how lawyers participate in them, how to turn a deal into a contract, and how to write contracts.
