year. A personal interview with a member of the drama faculty is recommended at
the time of application.
Demonstration of proficiency in theater skills is required for satisfactory completion
of all drama major specializations. All students (both minors and majors) must
work in a technical capacity a specified number of hours each semester. An additional
fee for materials may be required for selected programs.
Students may elect to pursue the B.A. or B.F.A. program. Continuation in the
B.F.A. program is dependent on faculty approval. B.F.A. candidates normally spend
the last six semesters of full-time study in residence at Hofstra.
NOTE: B.A. and B.F.A. drama majors may not use drama courses to fulfill distribution
requirements.

Drama Courses
In addition to semester notations next to each course, a selection of courses
is offered during January and Summer sessions. Consult the January and Summer Sessions bulletins for these schedules.
