Ethics, Minor in

A minor in Ethics consists of the successful completion of 18 semester hours in Ethics, under advisement in the philosophy department. At least six hours must be at the 100 level. At least six hours must be in-residence. Students may use no more than three credits from 1-credit PHI courses to satisfy the requirements of the Ethics Minor. All courses must carry liberal arts credit.

Where appropriate and under philosophy departmental advisement and approval by the Philosophy Department Chair, a student may count one 100-level ethics-related course from another field outside of philosophy toward the Ethics Electives requirement. In addition, where appropriate and under philosophy departmental advisement and approval by the Philosophy Department Chair, an ethics-related special topics course in Philosophy may substitute for one of the Ethics Electives listed below.
