The program is suited for any student seeking greater comprehension of the ways religion is involved in the contemporary world but is designed to supplement majors that prepare students for a career in health care; law, public policy, public service; or arts or media. There are distinct sets of courses in each of these general pre-professional areas. The requirements allow students to integrate coursework from their pre-professional major into their Religion and Contemporary Issues minor, as well as to take courses specifically focusing on the role of religion in their chosen field of study.
