African Studies, B.A. Major in

The African Studies major will introduce the student to an interdisciplinary program that coordinates and develops courses in African and African Diaspora life and culture.

 

Program Requirements - Total Semester Hours: 30 minimum


In consultation with an adviser who is an African Studies faculty member, students will design a coherent plan of study consistent with their scholarly goals. Students may elect to concentrate on African, African-American, or other areas of the African Diaspora. All individually designed major programs are required to include courses selected from multiple fields of study, and courses that focus on Africa. Students are required to complete a total of 30 semester hours from the following groups of courses:

11) Psychology
