This certificate program provides students with a basic interdisciplinary background
in gerontology coupled with a related field placement. The certificate is tailored
to individual students’ needs, interests, and experience. This 21-semester hour
program (18 semester hours of courses and 3 semester hours in a field placement) may
be taken as a separate certificate, in conjunction with a degree program or as
a separate specialization for persons not currently matriculated for a degree.
