Archaeology Option

The archaeology sub-field of anthropology is focused on the surviving materials of ancient and historic cultures. The analysis and interpretation of these materials involves distinct practical skills and theoretical approaches within anthropology. For students with an interest in archaeology, the archaeology option provides an anthropological foundation, supplemented by focused training in archaeological techniques, methods and theories. 

Program Requirements - Semester Hours: 33


33 semester hours of courses in anthropology.  The following courses are required and include an intensive 6-s.h. summer archaeological field school.
