Program Requirements - Total Semester Hours: 40
The departmental requirement for speech-language hearing sciences majors is 124
semester hours for the B.A. degree including 40 semester hours in the major area
as follows: Additional Course Requirement:
Additional Requirements:
In addition to the courses listed above, students must complete, under advisement,
the following requirements:
- At least 3 semester hours in Biology
- At least 3 semester hours in Astronomy, or Chemistry, or Geology or Natural Science
or Physics.
- At least 3 semester hours in Anthropology or Psychology or Sociology. Note: Thesis
requirement is separate from the requirement from PSY 140, listed above.
- At least 3 semester hours in Mathematics.
Note: It is possible to choose courses within these four areas which will also
satisfy the B.A. Distribution Requirements.
Undergraduates may not register for M.A. level courses in Speech-Language Pathology
